In this workshop, students learn the art of improvisation by working on skits, scenes and games that improve comedic timing and talent. Advanced students in this workshop perform their craft on Parent's Night. Broadway Chorus: This class should appeal to those students interested in learning more about singing in the Broadway style. Students and faculty work together to develop a repertoire of songs usually from one musical. Past featured shows include, Sunset Boulevard, Brigadoon and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Jewelry-Making: Marilyn Myers will be offering this workshop for students interested in the visual arts. Using beads, stones and gems, students will create jewelry and other decorative pieces. Stage Combat: Want to beat up your best friend and get applauded for it? Stage combat will show you how to do so by teaching the finer points of punching, kicking, headlocks, and pratfalls for performance. Audition Seminar: Are you terrified of what may happen in those 5 minutes you get to prove yourself worthy of a leading role? Then this is the class for you.
