Costumes: At YPCCA Jr. we make every effort to keep costumes simple, comfortable and accessible. If your child's costume presents any hardship, please notify a staff member. Please do not feel compelled to go out and buy something brand new. We encourage parents to borrow from friends and check out thrift stores, consignment stores and Salvation Army. It has been our experience that if you can fold your child's costume and place it into a large zip-lock style re-sealable bag labeled with your child's name, that is really helpful. We realize the shoes may not fit so feel free to keep those separate. The individual zip-lock bags help us keep all of the costumes neat, clean and organized and we can immediately see the contents. When it comes time for dress rehearsal, it is like a tidy wrapped present awaiting your child! Kindly bring the costumes into camp within the first two days. Cats and kittens: you will need a base costume to which we will add and attach things. Your base costume (shirt and pants without writing or logos) can be white, black, brown, grey, or orange (like a calico cat), plain shoes, flats, or ballet slippers Dogs: you will need a base costume to which we will add and attach things. Your base costume (shirt and pants without writing or logos) can be brown, grey or black, dark shoes or dark sneakers Geese: you will need an all white base costume. You will need a white shirt and you can choose either a white skirt (preferably long) or white pants/ leggings or you can choose a white dress, white shoes, white flats or ballet slippers Mouse: you will need an all grey base costume that includes a grey shirt and pants, dark shoes or sneakers Humans: we will work on finding you "aristocratic" costumes and if you have anything from home you are welcome to bring it in |
